Coaches being coached

I had an epiphany today when I hung up the phone with my personal life coach Joe Palmer of Bulls Eye Theory Dot Com.  It occurred to me that I am being groomed for greatness, but I have always known that I was a little different from the masses.  Let me explain before you go off and assume that this rant is from some egotistical whack job.  None is further from the truth.  I remember my business coach Artemis Limpert saying that all great leaders are not born that way, but that they are just gifted with the ability to stand in the front of the boat and willing to take what is thrown at them and keep on moving forward.

I realized that I am being groomed, simply by my desire, vision, and action to take action.  Moreover, I realized that this ship is not cruising with out a guidance system.  I have my coaches, they are the rudders.  I have my engine, they are my heart, soul, and family. I have my motivation, that is my vision.  That is what this epiphany was all about.  I am a coach and consultant myself.  It is like this, you must always fill your tank with the correct fuel.  A gas engine will not run on diesel, your body can not continue to run with out proper diet, and you surely would not want to step up to the major league plate with a wiffleball bat.

The point is that if you are going to be successful in business, life or any other pursuit you surely want to have the correct ingredients for making your business grow and prosper.  I thought that I was just helping myself, but what I realized, was that I am helping others to their greatness by staying healthy myself.  It was interesting, I had a radio interview on a South Florida radio show “The Biz” last month and it occurred to me that my good friend and mentor Kandee G. does the same thing.  Then it occurred to me that all the great leaders of our time have a circle of influence that they use as their rudders, their nutrients, their advisors, their spiritual guides, and the foundation for success.

What I would like you to take away from this is…. There are many ingredients that go into making you successful, please do not short yourself on the mentoring and coaching that is so important for your success.  If you leave out any one ingredient, your results will also be less than what they could have been.  As we say, as warriors, “Just Friken Do It.” I would add Just Friken Do It with a coach and mentor.  Please check out Mentoring You To Success Dot Com or check out any of the others mentioned in this post.  Your success depends on it.
